Angelini Associates is the independent professional structure through which Mauro M. Angelini undertakes general management, interim and fractional management mandates, as well as advisory assignments for entrepreneurs, shareholders and Boards of Directors.
The practice is built on more than 25 years of direct experience in the leadership and development of industrial businesses, primarily across Italy and Central and Eastern Europe.
A career built in industry
From creating new manufacturing operations to leading complex organisations, Mauro M. Angelini’s professional background spans business development, the negotiation of international contracts, capital investment, vertical integration, product and process innovation, and people management.
In Romania, his leadership of Martelli Europe supported the transformation of an initial industrial operation into a manufacturing organisation that grew to around 1,000 employees, developing direct relationships with major international brands and a production model based on the integration of in-house activities and networks of specialised partners.
He subsequently led the Yarns Division of Olimpias Group, covering three manufacturing plants, around 180 employees and annual revenues of approximately €30 million, with full responsibility for production, costs, investments, industrial relations and business performance.
Further international assignments have involved industrial and commercial development, the management of strategic clients and manufacturing internationalisation, including participation in executive and governance responsibilities.
Growth, continuity and transformation
Industrial management is not limited to the pursuit of efficiency. It requires the ability to understand where value is created, to develop the capabilities needed to sustain it, and to maintain the right balance between commercial demands, manufacturing capacity and economic sustainability.
This approach has been shaped through phases of expansion and modernisation, but also through market crises, supply chain disruption, exceptional energy cost increases and corporate restructuring processes.
Most recently, it has included a general management mandate with restructuring responsibility in a manufacturing business in Eastern Europe employing approximately 400 people.
Independence and direct engagement
Angelini Associates operates through carefully selected assignments, defined according to the needs and objectives of the business.
The relationship with ownership and governing bodies is direct. Engagements may involve the assumption of executive responsibility or an independent contribution to strategic and industrial decision-making, including management transitions and generational succession processes.
The practice may draw on external specialist expertise where appropriate, while maintaining clear professional accountability and a direct point of responsibility for the assignment.
Authority and the craft of leadership
In industry, authority is built over time through knowledge of processes, consistency in decision-making and daily engagement with people. The ability to move naturally between the factory floor and the governing bodies of a business comes from experience and from the trust earned in the exercise of responsibility.
Running a business is a profession that requires competence, judgement and an awareness of the consequences of one’s decisions.
